Our family awaits you at our quiet and secluded home-from-home, in the tranquil pasture-land on the borders of Normandy, Brittany and Mayenne, where our dogs and chickens live in perfect harmony with the local cows.

Let us look after you, giving you a real chance to get away from it all and unwind.

Our accommodation is for your exclusive use, we never book more than one party at any one time, for each property.

Lunch, afternoon tea and dinner are available on request.

Our Accommodation

Farmhouse

Sleeps 1 to 5 people and includes one double bedroom with king size bed and single bed for family use; one twin bedded room; a private bathroom and a lovely lounge/diner with a traditional woodburner. Cot and highchair are available on request for small people. Our accommodation is ideal for couples and families alike.

Your private garden is the ideal place to relax and unwind with a glass of wine during the balmy evenings. The children can enjoy the sand pit,  swings and small playhouse.

Facilities available include:

Tea and coffee making, homemade cakes and biscuits, small fridge, microwave, English freeview television, DVD player, huge choice of DVD's to choose from, CD player, garage for Classic cars and motor bikes, parking and bicycles for the energetic. Wifi is also available.

Dining alfresco is the perfect way to pass a summer's evening. Start with a crisp aperitif followed by a delicious meal.

Fermette

This beautifully restored farmhouse is also the perfect place to relax. It has four bedrooms and like the Farmhouse, you will have exclusive use of the Fermette. Think of it as a catered gîte with full maid service.

Sleeps 1 to 8 people and includes three double rooms, one of which has a single bed for family use; twin room; bathroom; a separate shower room; kitchen/diner and a lounge with traditional woodburner. Cot and highchair are available for small people. This accommodation is ideal for a group of friends, families and couples.

There is also a private garden and patio to enjoy your meals alfresco.

We live in a beautiful area of Northwest France near Gorron in Department 53. Our surounding villages include Desertines, Lesbois, L'Epinay Le Comte and Vieuvy. There are loads of interesting things to see and do. 

La Guesdonnière is within easy reach of the Normandy channel ports. We are about one and a half hours from Caen-Ouistreham and from St Malo and about two hours from Le Havre or Cherbourg. Dinard and Rennes airports are only one and a half hours away with car hire available. Dinard offers flights from London Stansted and East Midlands. Paris is about one and a half hours by train from Laval.

Our Bed and Breakfast is the ideal place for a holiday, short break, house hunting expedition, antique hunting or just a stop-over.
